Busing Information for Parents

If your child will be riding one of our buses this year, you can learn more about their route with the e-Link below. Parents who need transportation to daycare for their child should contact our office immediately even if the information has not changed from year to year. This helps us ensure the best results for your child's transportation.

Our e-Link program is a live, up-to-date software. This program will and may change at any moment. Please check your students route regularly so you have the most up to date bus times and stop. PLEASE BE AT YOUR STOP ATLEAST 5 MINUTES EARLY.

Please be aware that drop-off and pickup times listed in the e-Link are approximate. Families are encouraged to be patient and flexible during the first few weeks of a new school year while everyone settles into the routine.

Click on the button below to visit our e-Link. Keep reading for specific information about the safety procedures and student rules for Owatonna Bus Company.

Accessing the e-Link for Busing Information

Our e-Link program allows you to obtain the most accurate information possible about students' bus route. Please keep reading to understand how our e-Link works and how to best access it.

Because our routes are constantly being adjusted to better serve your community, it is possible that your student's route and time may change. The current route in the e-Link is drawn from our system for a real-time result that is accurate at the moment of your request.

For parents of students attending a K-12 public school, you will need the student ID number and the student's birthday. The ID number is your username. You can typically find this by logging into your Infinite Campus system. The birthday will serve as your password for e-Link. Check out this example:

  • Student ID: 987654321
  • Birthday: February 1, 2010
  • Username: 987654321
  • Password: 02012010

You will be prompted to change your password with your first login. If you have students at St. Mary's or Owatonna Christian School, you can contact Owatonna Bus Company for your login credentials.

Understand Our Safety Procedures

Your student's time on the school bus is considered an extension of their school day. All school rules also apply to time on the bus.

  • School Buses are equipped with cameras for the safety of all.
  • Students will be at the bus stop on time. Drivers do not wait for late students.
  • Students will conduct themselves properly at the bus stop.
  • Students will wait off the roadway for the bus to arrive.
  • Students will ONLY cross the road IN FRONT of the bus.
  •  Students are REQUIRED to SIT while riding the school bus.

Riding the school bus is ultimately a privilege. It is not a right according to the Minnesota legislature. Students can lose the privilege for bad behavior.
